AOS' innovative modular mirror mounts enable low stress, kinematic mounting of large optics.
AOS uses state of the art machining and robotic polishing for the most advanced silicon carbide optics produced today. Quality is guaranteed using high resolution interferometer and precision dimensional measurement of alignment features and mounting datums.
Aperture Optical Sciences Inc. and Okamoto Optics Works have collaborated to create an advanced capability to manufacture complex aspheric optics from a variety of materials including optical glasses and hard ceramics like Silicon Carbide.
Off-Axis Parabolic (OAP) Mirrors are used throughout sophisticated reflective optical systems today. Our customers use OAP’s in beam expanders, collimators, airborne imaging systems, telescopes, and as focusing elements for high-energy lasers. OAPs offer the advantages of compact geometry, simplification in optical design over refractive optics, and very high accuracy imaging over a broad spectral range.
Aperture Optical Sciences, Inc. and Okamoto Optics (Yokohama, Japan) have collaborated to provide a full range of optics manufacturing capability.
Precision optics will only perform when assembled into opto-mechanical assemblies that that are designed and manufactured to minimize the effects of thermal gradients, vibration, gravity, and dynamic loading. AOS’s core competencies in optics manufacturing, metrology and opto-mechanical modeling lay the foundation for enabling our products to deliver superior performance when deployed in a variety of laboratory and extreme environments. We use a combination of standard platforms and mechanisms plus custom designs to meet the specialized needs of our customers.
Standard Reference Flats & Mirrors are available sizes from 4 inches through 24 inches and calibrated flatness up to λ/30. Aperture Optical Sciences Inc. provides sales, service, and engineering support with manufacturing by our collaborative partner, Okamoto Optics, of Yokohama Japan.
Linear Reference Mirrors for coordinate position referencing are available in lengths up to 3 meters. Aperture Optical Sciences Inc. provides sales, service, and engineering support with manufacturing by our collaborative partner, Okamoto Optics, of Yokohama Japan.
Aperture Optical Sciences Inc., and Okamoto Optics have collaborated to create an advanced capability to design and integrate custom inteferometer expansion systems for special wavelengths and applications. We use your 4 or 6 inch aperture system or will supply a commercially available unit - we can expand the aperture up to 28 inches and provide custom features for your specialized applications.
