Middleschool Students Field Trip to AOS

Middleschool students from Shoreline Christian School of Madison Connecticut spent the day at AOS for a field trip to learn about optics, lasers, manufacturing… and well, how to make optical lenses out of Jello!   Yes, really. Students learned about the fundamental principles of geometric optics using lasers directed through lenses, prisms and prisms using components cut from Jello.

US Congressman Joe Courtney Visits AOS

AOS was honored this month to welcome the visit of US Congressman Joe Courtney. During his visit the Congressman toured our operations and saw our manufacturing process for Silicon Carbide aspheric optics. SiC aspheres are key components in multiple airborne sensing applications for US defense applications.
