30-inch SiC Primary Mirror delivered to Air Force

Aperture Optical Sciences Inc. completed delivery of a 30-inch diameter SiC Primary Mirror under a sub-contract to Trex Enterprises contract FA9451-05-C-0019. CT Governor Dan Malloy honors AOS at CI Dinner

Governor Dan Malloy spoke at a dinner honoring AOS and 11 other companies in Connecticut as the first recipients of the Connecticut Innovations Small Business Diversification Innovation Program. The $25,000 matching grant was made available to small business in Connecticut committed to diversifying their product base, growing their companies and creating new jobs.

AOS wins NASA SBIR

Flemming Tinker Inc. / Aperture Optical Sciences Inc. selected for two NASA phase I SBIRs. The first of these will develop a modification to our computer controlled cylinder polishing machine design for conical freeforms. The second will study the control of tool wear in grinding to reduce mid-spatial content in fast aspheric optics.
