CubeSat Telescopes

Primary Features:

  • Athermal Optical Performance
  • Compact, Low Mass Design
  • Cost-efficient Solution
  • Supports a wide range of cameras and sensors

Description & Features

The CC series is the new generation of high performance telescopes for CubeSats, supporting 3U, 6U and 12U applications.   Extensive use of Silicon Carbide (SiC) provides a telescope that is inherently athermal and low mass, ensuring consistent imaging performance and lowering launch costs.   Custom solutions with apertures to 250 mm are available.

Specifications

CC Series telescopes utilize SiC materials for all critical mirror and optical metering structures. The structure supports a range of launch orientations allowing flexibility in launch options.  Apertures are available from 85 mm up to 250 mm supporting 3U to 12U applications.

The CC Series telescope system is designed for simplicity and economy – but with its all ceramic construction it can outperform more typical refractive designs by providing broadband, thermally insensitive performance. Our standardized architecture with generalized specifications are intended to define baseline performance specifications. CC series telescopes require only minimal customization to meet customer defined mission requirements. All specifications are for as-built performance and verified through customer agreed acceptance testing.
