Essential Functions:
Coordination of the order fulfillment process including order release, planning, priority setting, and progress measurement.
Manage the order release process, which includes compiling project scope and specification documents and releasing the work-flow to production staff. Maintain organization of project documents electronically on our company network.
Create and maintain the production schedule. Balance the workflow to maximize machine utilization and allocation of staff. Monitor and update project schedules as needed. Set production priorities and identify potential schedule problems in advance.
Execute shipping and receiving operations to receive purchased products and ship out our product to sub-contractors and customers. This includes preparation of international shipments, which comprise more than 50% of company sales. Follow and enforce procedures in compliance with export regulations and ITAR. Manage export license process when needed.
The materials administrator / manager is responsible for obtaining best pricing and optimized quality for all purchased supplies and outside services. Responsibilities include the selection of appropriate suppliers, preparation and issuing of purchase orders to support our manufacturing operations. Tasks may include establishing contracts and agreements with outside service providers & subcontractors. Establishing and maintaining effective terms and conditions for purchased items, negotiating pricing, and ensuring that the company is getting the best services and materials for the best price. Requirements:
BA/BS, MS in business administration, industrial engineering, or equivalent. Experience considered. Strong organizational and communication skills, strong computer skills, detail oriented.
Term & Hours:
Full-time, on-site, permanent position consisting of a minimum 40-hour work week.
