The Data Engineer will collect and interpret data in a high tech custom manufacturing environment. Use data as a basis for:
- establishing appropriate estimating and scheduling models
- predicting / simulating scheduling outcomes
- evaluating manufacturing performance
Using data and systems developed, the data engineer will coordinate operations functions relating to order fulfillment in a high tech custom manufacturing environment. The Data Engineer will Access internal and external resources to establish and maintain software to simulate probability of outcomes, and tune plans accordingly.
Using data driven techniques, the data engineer will monitor and update project schedules as needed, set production priorities and identify potential schedule problems in advance. Support all material logistics including material and outside services procurement, shipping and receiving and export review.
In support of manufacturing operations, the data engineer will manage the order release process, which includes compiling project scope and specification information and releasing the work flow to production staff. Maintain organization of synchronized project data on our company network.
Candidates need not have prior experience. Specialized training will be provided. Candidates should have analytic mindset and ability to adapt or create software to quantitatively solve problems and optimize operations. BS/MS in Data Science, Computer Science, and/or technical management desired.
